FAQ's

Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are highly recommended, especially in the busy summer months, but you can also purchase tickets online Right Here . Parties of 10 or less are often able to walk up and purchase tickets on the day of the cruise, but only if space is available. Groups of 20 or more should always make reservations in advance.

What's the best way to make a reservation?
Just call us at 410-539-6277.  We'll be happy to help you with information on private charters, public sails, whatever you need!  You can also make reservations in person at our ticket booth on the Light Street side of the Inner Harbor, between the Visitor Center and the Maryland Science Center.

Can I make reservations by phone and pay at the ticket booth?
You can hold a reservation using your credit card.  Call 410-539-6277.

Where should we park?
The InterContinental Harbor Court Hotel garage offers half-price ($6) parking to Clipper City guests.  Just take the regular ticket when you enter the garage and we will give you a voucher to give them on your way out of the garage.   The hotel is located at 550 Light Street, facing the ship, and its garage is around the corner on Lee Street.

Can I get there by Metro?
We're about four blocks from the Charles Center Metro Station.

How early should I arrive?
Check in at the ticket booth about 15-20 minutes before your sail.

Do you sail in the rain?
Almost always!  The main deck is covered by a custom canopy, which also has retractable side curtains.  We sail "rain or shine" throughout the season which runs through October.

Will I get seasick?
It's unlikely.  Clipper City is large (200 tons!) and quite stable.

What should I wear?
Comfortable shoes and casual, weather-appropriate attire.

How about entertainment?
Our Friday and Saturday evening Live Party Sails feature some of Baltimore's best bands.  We can also hire a band or DJ for your special event.
